Are you planning a wedding for the first time? There are so many tasks to think of when designing your dream wedding and preparing for a lifelong marriage that some ideas can slip through the cracks. Some points you might not have thought of are discussed by AN EXPERT ON WEDDING TIPS, MARK WILCOX, who is sharing three thoughts you might have forgotten when planning your wedding.
Once you start planning your wedding, there will undoubtedly be a lot to do. Not only do you need to book vendors, but you also may be planning a honeymoon and you need to ask certain people if they will be in your bridal party. Because this planning process can become overwhelming, you may find that you will forget a thing or two along the way. These are three things that you may not have taken into consideration while planning your wedding:
Not Everyone Will Show Up
Planning a wedding and thinking about who you are going to invite will mean realizing that there is a chance that not everyone is going to show up. There will be some that may not send back an RSVP and there will be others who may respond as attending, yet they will not show up either. You need to try to figure out your average amount of attendees based on the number of people you invited.
If you need to pay per plate, you can try to follow up on your RSVPs to see if there are some people that forgot to respond. This will help you to have a better idea and not go over how many meals you are going to be buying.
It May Cost More Than You Think
A lot of couples will end up having sticker shock as they are planning their wedding, simply because they go into it feeling as though it may be cheaper than it really is. The fact of the matter is that something labeled for a wedding is going to cost more than labeled differently, such as a traditional event. You may also find that the longer you wait to plan, the more expensive it could be. Make sure that you have plenty of time to shop around for the right vendors to fall in line with your budget and personality.
People Like To Help
While you are in the middle of wedding planning, it may be that a number of people will offer to help. If you feel as though they will be a good help, you can look for certain tasks to assign to them. If anyone feels as though they would be a problem, you need to find a nice way to be able to tell them no. When all is said and done, you will need to make sure that your wedding is a reflection of you, your future spouse and what the both of you want. The process can be overwhelming when it comes to planning and you could always leave something out. Just try no to worry too much until all of the planning is done.
Keep in mind that a lot of people will end up having a wedding that is very enjoyable even when something goes wrong. This can also make for great memories that you can share for years to come. Just have a good budget and take the time to plan as much as you can so that you can work on ensuring the best outcome.
