It’s a well known passage in the Christian community, the story of Mary and Martha, Luke 10:38-42.
Being honest I feel like right now in my life I relate to Martha. This time reading the passage I saw eyes of how Martha was thinking.
My first reaction if the Lord of Lords was in my home, I would want to welcome him well. I would make sure the house was really clean, vacuum twice or more from dog hair. I would have scentsy warmers burning, electrifying aromas to light the environment. Also a feast waiting for him; the best 3 course primal meal. Thank God He loves us just as we are and that’s not what He wants. He wants something simpler.

I wouldn't want Arnold's Hair getting all over Jesus!
God reminded/revealed to me that:
- scripture is more important than household chores or anything else
Do you put your time with God a priority over other things? If not, why? I know this for myself and others is a constant struggle with the world screaming with distractions.
- loving people is more important than tasks
Do you give your love ones quality time? If not, why?
List the things you spend the most time doing on a daily or weekly basis? Whatever tasks they are that is where you hold your value.
- to sit in His presence, sit in silence and listen to Him
Read Luke 10:38-42. Ask God who are you more like, Mary or Martha?

Take the time to reflect in, listen
If your not a believer, thanks for reading this post. I would love to hear what you value and why. Reflection is good for us because it lets us sort out our thoughts, connect all the circuits in our mind.
