Papago Park Photo Op

On one beautiful picture weather perfect Tuesday in January a friend and I took to the rocks of Papago Park. The rocks of Papago Park are historical pieces of lava flows that now stand surrounded by city asphalt and cement. While you hike on the solid lava formations its like you escaped to the wild desert lands.
I have been reading some photography books and the masters are saying it’s best to shoot in the Manuel setting. (warning, you need to have a steady hand). I am learning I like natural light, pictures are so much easier. I am also learning as a photographer you need to have an eye on how to position your model. The day was mostly practicing that skill on my friend, Hannah. Throughout the time we took turns practicing our photo skills on each other. The time went by so fast, (and Hannah if your reading this) it was one of my best afternoons. I could do photo ops like this everyday. Self-portraits are my favorite.

Do you like photography? If so, plan a date with a friend during the day and take advantage of the natural scenery God blessed us with. Practice using the Manuel setting, I would love to hear what you learned.

As a new photographer I would love to hear your feed back. Which picture lighting/style do you like? (for my future references, thank you audience!)
