Insightful Dining

While dining with our co-workers this afternoon for lunch I learned a few interesting insights on the Chinese culture. Did you know…?

A cutie!

1) About half of the Chinese women get a C-Section for various reasons.

  • Pressure from doctors
  • Fear of a complication
  • Stress from the one-child policy

You can learn more about this issue at the link below:

2) The Black Plague still exist in some animals in China. When I heard of this I went straight home and did some research. Yes some rodents and small animals can carry this but it shouldn’t be something to concern me. Actually I read that the bubonic plague is in my own backyard; there are some cases in Northern Arizona.

3) The smoking capital of the world is China and that the second-hand smoke here kills  about 10,000 innocent people a year. A co-worker’s grandma has lung cancer because of second hand smoke from living in China. Please pray for her.
