A Stepping Stone to Your Dream Job
Are you exhausted from your work? Do you dread going into the office on Monday? How often have you heard the phrase, “Thank God it’s Friday”? For every person I have heard a yes from the questions above I would be a millionaire. Okay, maybe not quite a millionaire but close. For the last few years I have heard people complain about their jobs. They work a 9 to 5 day job to have security. They go shopping on their off hours and spend a few hours out drinking with friends, hoping all the while those few hours of their weekend will make them happy.
One secret I have come to learn personally is to teach English overseas. I work less than 30 hours a week, enjoy teaching these young children and get to pursue a passion of mine, photography. (You can learn more about the project I am currently working on at 10,000 Smiles.) I learned about the school I am working for, Kings English for Kids, on Dave’s ESL Cafe. I highly recommend if you are tired of your job and love children to take an adventure like teaching English. Check the website out, your life could be forever changed with one click.
There is not a day that goes by that my life isn’t full of adventure in China. I would highly recommend everyone to live in a foreign country, it challenges and strengthens you as an individual. There are fewer distractions living in a foreign country. God has used my move to China to sharpen my character and build my identity solely on Him. You can have this opportunity too, take a chance and send your resume to some schools so you too can teach these adorable children.
On to another note…
“WHOOOO, WHOOOO..”, that is the sound of my first class, the Hooting Owls. They are my first official class at Kings English for Kids.
Introducing the Hooting Owls, the class of 2013.
Two students I took pictures of later because they were absent.
