Hear the love story of two youth group acquaintances turning into friends after hanging out with the 20’s single’s group. Their relationship became romantic one afternoon when they walked a mall till closing having a DTR (Define The Relationship).
Gabriel proposed to Jonelle when family and turkey were gathered. Gabriel had remembered that Jonelle had said this garden would be a great place for a proposal. It was Thanksgiving in Texas when Gabriel, his family, Jonelle’s brother, Jonelle went for a walk in the Arboretum Garden. The two separated from the group and that’s when Gabriel discussed their future. He led her to this large red tree, got down on his knee and asked Jonelle to be his life-time partner.
Gabriel and Jonelle planned an intimate wedding in Apache Junction that overlooked the Superstition Mountains on March 7, 2015.
The two decided to have a first-look before the ceremony. During the first look, Jonelle gave Gabriel a bundle of handwritten notes she had saved praying for her future husband. Gabriel was floored on how beautiful his bride was on their wedding day.
Jonelle wore a classic wedding dress from Uptown Bridal. The dress complimented her Victorian and Whimsical themed wedding.
Gabriel, a graphic designer at heart and graduate from ASU looked very dapper with his blue bow-tie and black rimmed glasses.
The desert landscape set a wonderful stage for their wedding. The couple stood by a hundred plus year old saguaro, a tree that withstands harsh climates and matures slowly with age. Their first kiss was shared on Disneyland’s Mark Twain’s paddle boats. It was on the graceful waters in a romantic setting when Gabriel asked Jonelle if he could kiss her. Little Mermaid, anyone?
The bride’s fleckles were highlighted with her laced styled wedding dress.
Lighthouse Flowers did a wonderful job on Jonelle’s bouquet. I love the whimsical ribbon.
Misty eyes and love were shared during the exchange of their commitments.
I love the beauty the southwest desert has to offer. The dried out cacti look like handmade sculptures.
Gabriel holds true to his love for Jonelle and not letting go of their love. Jonelle’s favorite memory of the two of them thus far before their wedding date was when Gabriel went to her third sister’s graduation. The two of them took a light rail to pick up the graduation cake and Gabe held onto her hand the entire time.
Gabriel and Jonelle were wonderful sports and braved standing near Arizona’s jumping cholla.
Thank you Gabriel and Jonelle for inviting me to witness your joy, celebration and commitments to one-another on your wedding day!
