Local meets foreigner….
Their love story is straight out of the summer romance movies. John, the explorer quit his job, sold everything and set out to backpack South America for 6 months. Little did he know, his exploration would lead him to his future bride. He met her his first week of backpacking in Columbia. John was couch surfing with a German fellow who introduced him to Jenny while he was showing him the city. Over the course of two weeks the two toured the beauties of Columbia. After John met Jenny the two continued to stay in communication via text messaging, email and Skype. About 6 months later John returned to Columbia to see Jenny. The trip went so well that Jenny decided to move to the United States.
The two were inseparable. The second weekend Jenny was in Arizona he had a big question to ask her. One evening the two had a date night in downtown Phoenix at the Arizona Center. That evening there was more fighting than love so John was questioning asking her that night. The two were walking back to the car when John had let it slip out that he was going to ask her that night to be his wife. Jenny than prompted John that he should ask. So in the midst of the rows of cars, John got down on his knee in the parking garage and asked if Jenny would be his wife….and she said “yes”!!!!
John and Jenny shared an intimate Arizona wedding at La Quinta Inn on Superstition Springs in Mesa on August 29, 2015. John and Jenny, thank you for inviting me to hear your love story and see you two commit to loving one another for life. I wish you the best in growing as a family in the Great Salt Lake State, Utah. You deserve nothing short of awesome new memories on your honeymoon in Las Vegas! Grace and Peace, April
Jenny modeled a Forever 21 top and designer ballerina tulle skirt that her mother-in-law created.
Jenny’s flower girls were precious and were captivated by the miniature birdie that rested on their flower girl baskets.
Inspired by Pinterest, Jenny made her wedding bouquet from paper. Paper flowers are the perfect flowers that last forever in the Arizona heat.
John wore stylish white slacks, the perfect Arizona summer wedding attire.
To include all their loved ones, they had computers set up with Skype for family that lived out-of-state to view the ceremony. John and Jenny said they will love one another for the rest of their lives. Their friends and family marked the celebration of their marriage by setting off confetti poppers when they exited as Mr. and Mrs.
Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed homemade cupcakes and bottles of sparkling cider. Jenny being from Columbia had some incredible dance moves for their first dance as husband and wife.
After the reception the two adventurous souls explored the Superstition Springs.
