Do you ever get frequent headaches, nausea or indigestion that disrupt you from living life to the fullest? When I was younger I would cure these issues with Tylenol and Pepto-Bismol. I was taught over the counter medicine was the trick. In my young adult life I have researched alternative holistic medicines and tried it. It doesn’t hurt to try, right?

Articles I found were saying that taking Tylenol over the course of your lifetime is harmful. Other articles spoke on how the rest of the world (excluding the United States) use natural medicines to cure everyday disruptions like headaches. With the research I was finding I thought I give these natural remedies a try. I started with the essential oil, peppermint.

“Since its inception 200 years ago, homeopathy has attracted support from European royalty, the educated elite, and leading artists….Homeopathy is considerably more popular abroad than it is in the United States. Homeopathy’s popularity in Europe and Asia is particularly impressive.” (Author)

Here are 3 ways I use Peppermint essential oil in my life:

1.When I get a headache I put a drop on my thumb and then place my thumb on the roof my mouth for about 30 seconds. If that doesn’t work, I rub coconut oil with a drop of peppermint oil at my temples and behind my ears.

2. When I feel nauseous or have indigestion I put one drop of peppermint oil in my water. Young Living Peppermint oil is strong so one drop goes a long way. Not only does it make my symptoms go away but the flavored water taste delicious and gives you fresh breath!

3. When I start to feel tired in the middle of the day or want a burst of energy I rub peppermint essential oil with coconut oil under my nose and on my temples. It’s the best natural way to get energy!
