They both have hearts for listening and learning more about Jesus. Their first encounter was at a 5pm service at Redemption Tempe after work. Rick looked over to the person next to him and commented, “It’s cold in here.” It was from that statement that Lisa saw his class ring from Texas A&M and the two started talking about that University and the school she attended, Virginia Tech. Thereafter, the two were friends and Rick started driving Lisa to church.
Lisa’s heart for missions was always an open hand to God and it was months later that God gave her permission to dream so she wasn’t going to go overseas. When Lisa determined she wasn’t going overseas for missions she said okay to a date with Rick. Their romance started in October 2014. In November they were Facebook official and in December Lisa knew Rick was the one she wanted to call her husband. That Christmas season before visiting their families Rick proclaimed to Lisa that he, “adored her”.
Rick and Lisa are going to tie-the-knot to love one another before God and their loved ones in the Spring 2016 at Eagle Mountain Golf Club. Rick and Lisa your wedding couldn’t come sooner; I am looking forward to capturing all your wedding memories and to witness your vows before God! Grace and Peace, April
Rick and Lisa the adventurous hiking couple chose to document their engagement at the lushes Boyce Thompson Arboretum.
Lisa loves country dancing so Rick gifted her a set of authentic cowgirl boots. With all things beautiful, yellow daisies, Lisa looks breathtaking in these natural surroundings.
As we strolled further into the Boyce Thompson Arboretum we came upon their Eucalyptus tree forest. These epic heighten Eucalyptus trees stand the test of time and seemed to enclose their love.
I quickly learned that Rick loves to smile and his joy is contagious to all that surround him. Anyone that spends the afternoon with these two can feel the joy between and from Rick and Lisa, a testament of the Holy Spirit so active in their life.
With further exploration we found a pine forest that makes one feel like they escaped to Northern Arizona. If you haven’t visited the Boyce Thompson Arboretum; I highly encourage it; the vegetation is plentiful. In this open field we found delicious Arizona light! Everything the light touched in that span of time looked magical.
In their free time the two enjoy dancing, especially country dancing.
Boyce Thompson Arboretum not only has rich trees but a variety of desert plants. Grand Sonoran peaks stood on the horizon.
Rick and Lisa have a sweet friendship and it’s evident how much the two enjoy one’s company of each other.
We then ventured to the Boyce Thompson Arboretum’s greenhouse and made a quick wardrobe change while the Arizona clouds let out a short rainfall. Pretty succulents and dreamy light encompassed this couple.
Congrats Rick and Lisa to your upcoming wedding! I pray God is safeguarding and preparing you two for a sacred marriage.
