Kayla knew that Brent was going to propose to her close to Christmas time. For Kayla’s birthday Brent gifted her Disney themed presents: a Mini Mouse vacation card to Disneyland and a Mini Mouse balloon. One evening while they were on their vacation at Disneyland they went to Manhattan’s Beach for a stroll. Brent felt the built up of his excitement to pop the question so he led Kayla to the end of the ocean pier. While they were at the end of the pier gazing out at the ocean Brent asked Kayla, “Will you be my wife?” At first Kayla was struck by the surprise. Brent then asked Kayla, “Okay…is that a yes?” Kayla said yes and the two celebrating the promise of their future marriage over a fine Lobster dinner.
Brent and Kayla’s continuation of their love story and marriage celebration will take place Spring 2016 at the Secret Garden in Phoenix. The two share joyful personalities that were immediately felt when I spent the afternoon with them exploring the Boyce Thompson Arboretum‘s Eucalyptus forest, mountains and Ayer Lake. I have no doubt their wedding will be rich with gorgeous DIY’s, lots of loving support and will be anything short of amazing!
Their engagement session started in the greenhouse at the Boyce Thompson Arboretum on a beautiful Arizona Autumn day. Brent and Kayla share so much chemistry, this was the first photo I took for their session.
Following time in the greenhouse, the couple went for a stroll and shared some encouraging words to each other.
Their perfect Saturday is taking their dog Benny for a walk around their neighborhood and afterwards enjoying a cup of coffee from Dutch Brothers.

We were blessed with some gorgeous Arizona sunlight streaming through the 100 plus foot Eucalyptus trees.
