Years of marriage reflect beauty, showcasing a deeper love between a couple. Matthew and Genevieve had their anniversary documented on Phoenix’s South Mountain for the start of the summer. This couples’ outfits reminded me of the characters from The Love Comes Softly Hallmark series, sweetness and natural.
This is Genevieve’s narration of how Matthew proposed to her: “He proposed to me on Valentine’s day after a beautiful, fancy dinner. He took me out on the dock of a lake where his friend had set up some candles on a blanket.”
I asked Genevieve what God has taught her after years of marriage and this is what she said…
“I feel like I’ve learned so much about myself. Marriage has been super humbling for me. It’s great for showing me how and where I need to grow. I’ve also learned a ton about embracing the strengths of your spouse to strengthen both of your lives and marriage.”
Summer wind and Arizona’s rich rocks add prettiness to this couple’s love.
The happy couple will be celebrating their anniversary in the beginning of June!
Light blue outfits always look dashing in the desert!
Genevieve in her white chiffon maxi dress makes her a vision in this Phoenix’s South Mountain desert setting.
That moment between a couple before they kiss.
There are so many benefits of years of marriage, one being comforted in the arms of your beloved.
I will end on some wisdom Genevieve had for other couples on having a healthy marriage.
“My sister’s best advice that she gives to everyone who gets married is what she calls ‘the cardinal rule of marriage’: when your spouse does something that you didn’t have time for or just didn’t do, always approach the situation with gratitude, even if it wasn’t done the way you would have liked or you would have done it. You didn’t do it. Be grateful it got done.”
