Are you a bride-to-be looking for that perfect wedding dress? Sometimes there can be too many options that the dress shopping experience can get overwhelming. I am excited to collaborate with other vendors in the wedding industry and share their wisdom and expertise. Below Blake from Brilliant Bridal is sharing insight on the 2016 wedding dress trends. I hope these top 2016 trends shed light on your wedding dress shopping experience as you navigate this new engagement season!
Our Brilliant Bridal stylists have seen trends come and go over the years, but 2016 has to be our favorite year yet! Brides are choosing to stray away from the traditional white strapless gown – which we LOVE! Don’t get us wrong, we love a traditional gown, but our ultimate goal is to get a bride into a gown that matches her personality. We want her to slip into her dress and for her bridal entourage to say ‘that dress is so YOU!’.
2016 Wedding Dress Trends
Here’s a few of our favorite 2016 Bridal Trends that we’ve seen. If this year is any indicator of what 2017 is going to be like, we can’t wait to see what our designers have up their sleeves!
Off The Shoulder Gowns
Not only are off the shoulder tops back in fashion, but they’re taking over the bridal world! An off the shoulder gown keeps things classy yet a little bit sexy! Not only do we adore this sassy style, but it is also a practical style for a bride who’s going to be dancing all night long. Can you imagine tugging up your strapless dress all night long? We’ve seen it all too often! Choose an off the shoulder gown and you’ll be able to spend more time sipping champagne and getting jiggy on the dance floor 😉

High Neck Lines
This 90’s trend is back! Instead of plunging necklines, we’re seeing more modern & modest high neck styles. A glamorous updo is the right way to go when rocking a high neckline to show off all of the gorgeous detail!
Check out this gorgeous this La Sposa Gown is available at our East Valley Location. Another similar high neck line dress: David Tutera Gown that you can find at our East Valley Location.
Blush Wedding Gowns
Who says you have to wear white or ivory on your big day? We get SO excited when a bride walks into her consultation and says “I really want to wear a blush gown”. Those words are music to our ears! Again, we love a traditional gown but LOVE when our brides step outside the traditional bridal box. How fun are this gorgeous blush gown?
This blush Pronovias gown has pockets. Yes, POCKETS. Need we say more? It can be found at our East Valley Location. Another similar blush wedding gown: the WToo Gown can be found at our Brilliant Bridal Denver Location.
Illusion & Lace Sleeves
Lastly, we’re seeing the lace sleeve trend come back into style! You may have noticed that bridal trends from the 70s, 80s and 90s are coming back into style, yet they have their own modern twist! A lace sleeve is perfect for a winter wedding. You can even layer up with a cute faux fur cape for your bridal portraits!
We’re obsessed with the sleeve detail of this Pronovias gown that can be found at our Brilliant Bridal Denver Location. Another similar illusion and lace sleeves wedding dress: the Casablanca gown can be purchased at our Brilliant Bridal Denver Location.
