Henry and Charity met while meeting some friends and discussing the new beginnings of a possible small group for their church. After seven months of getting to know each other, they went for a walk on Christmas day when Henry decided to ask Charity if he could take her for a night out.
They would make that same walk on a October 6th. Except this walk would represent something deeper and more intimate. Their minds were also walking through the memories they had together. Memories of some of their favorite moments while dating. When the walk came to a close, they both paused to take a look at the beautiful colors that light up the sky at sunset. Henry soon got to his knee, and asked Charity if she would marry him, presenting her with a gorgeous wedding ring.
What makes their story so special is that proposal was technically the second one. A month earlier they were at their favorite park. This park overlooked the area they had their first picnic where he officially ask for her to be his girlfriend. “So sweet and romantic” was the way she described it. Sitting on top on a shark tank, she saw a box. Sitting in that jewelry box was a rose gold chain with a deep sapphire and diamond on it. He had actually picked this necklace out before they ever met. How sweet is that! He was saving this necklace in preparation for “such a time as this.” Once he found the woman his heart longed for, he would entrust this treasure to her. Who is now, Charity. He rapped a memorable speech of their love story, how he believed God fitted them perfectly, and expressed the love he has for her. This would eventually set up their epic final proposal.
Their Intimate Autumn Country Wedding in Chandler was full of stunning country side views. Open fields beyond open fields was breathtaking for the eye to see. Combinations of simplicity and understated elegance with simple Christian marriage traditions created this intimate Arizona country affair. Gorgeous burnt oranges, teals and whites alongside the golden orange country leaves, brought the Autumn colors to Arizona.
Thank you both for inviting me into your unforgettable wedding day. I loved witnessing you two share your vows and put God at the center of your marriage. Seeing you start your wedding day with a moment together of prayer over this next step and your marriage was a blessing.
Henry and Charity promised to God to love one another on a private country-side estate in Chandler, Arizona.
The beautiful bride wore a simplistically elegant Brilliant Bridal dress. Her “something old” and “something borrowed” pieces were her mother’s and grandmother’s jewelry. What a legacy to keep such as that.

Still moments of tender love and intentionality for the other.
Bridesmaids’ locking arms with their girl.
Henry and his groomsmen went to college together and participated in ASU Cru. One of his groomsmen actually flew in for the wedding from San Francisco. That demonstrates their loyalty as friends.
The precious and intimate bridal party.
The outdoor Arizona ceremony took place under large oak trees surrounded by their closest family and friends.
They had a personal pianist play worship music as they shared in communion for the first time as husband and wife. It was all in the little details for the couple. Such as this Native American vase with two sprouts representing the becoming of one. There was also a adorable tree swing hanging beside them.
Fresh love started on this day for Henry and Chairty to begin a lifetime of genuine love and comittment through the good times and the hard times depending on God for their marriage. Following their ceremony the couple enjoyed a relaxed brunch with their guests.
On the menu: French Quiches, Cinnamon French Toast, with strawberries, sausage, bacon and Danishes.
