They had known each other for several years before the night they were both at the Jack Daniel’s concert in Old Town Scottsdale. In pursuit of Kari’s heart, Brian cautiously stepped into the potential dating scene with her when he asked if she would join the concert with him. Laughter, good music, and friends flooded their first night together in a fun way and will now never forget as their first date.
Their dating days were more often and before they knew it, they had 4.5 years of dating behind them. After spending almost 5 years together, they both had thoughts about getting married, yet Kari never really knew when the special day might pop up. On May 31, 2016, it was like just another day except on this day they were visiting Kari’s Grandmother in San Jose. The day got warmer and warmer, and Kari was getting hot. She decided she was going to walk to the grocery store and grab a couple of things. They began walking, and to get where she needed to go, she had to walk through a garden. This garden was adorned in beautiful roses and an array of vibrant flowers. Brian stopped Kari in the middle of the rose garden exactly where they were at and got down onto one knee and asked if she would be his wife. “OOHHHH” she exclaimed as Brian pulled out the ring from his side. Brian was in a state of shock himself while the moment started to settle in deep within his mind and his heart. With nervous excitement, his own personal self-talk looked a little something like this: “Oh no it’s happening!” Once Kari let out her “yes,” they both felt a relieved excitement to be able to fully celebrate what just happened!
This past weekend they exchanged their vows to one another in a beautiful intimate celebration radiating a sunny Arizona Fall wedding. Starting as a warm day, it slowly turned into a cool and refreshing sunset evening. Full of life and fresh detailing, their wedding was nothing short of magical. Color palette tones were hues of aqua and coral wth bridesmaid dresses stretching down to the floor in a princess chiffon type way. Guests showed how relaxed and comfortable they were, which is exactly what the bride and groom were hoping for. Loved all of the traditional elements paired with modern accents that created their very own classically timeless backyard wedding.
Thank you to Brian and Kari. From your sweet humorous selves to how thoughtful you were with the guests’ and to how joyful the wedding day was, it was an honor to witness it all. You are a fun loving and thoughtful couple.
