Mom Hack for Climbers: Pikler Triangle

I’ll be the first to admit, I’m constantly learning as I go in guiding each child. We as parents/educators can learn a ton of book knowledge on development, faith, health, relationships and mind and at the end of the day…
Each child has unique personalities, skills and talents to contribute to the world, a hero’s journey!

Motherhood and educating require humility and open-hearts to studying the child and trying different approaches to see what works best for them!

I share this video as a way to document my journey as a boy mom, publicly. (He was my climber that was the motivator behind the pikler.)

My honest review of the pikler triangle:

I have been researching for over a year now at Pikler triangles. This one fits both of my likes for my family: quality and affordability!

I was really impressed with the quickness of the shipment! It got here really quick and well packaged.

The assembly was fast! It took my husband less than an hour to assemble it. It comes with directions and the tools to assemble it.

The pikler itself is made of quality wood. All of the edges are smooth. The whole triangle has a nice smooth finish! My husband who is into wood working commented how impressed he was with the quality and craftsmanship of the pikler triangle.

When you aren’t using it, it can easily be folded up!

This reversible pikler triangle ramp and slide is solid! It’s quality wood with a smooth finish. All the climbing holds are safely secured to the board and well rounded. The placement of the climbing holds are perfect. My two year old son had the flexibility to grab and slide while staying safe. 

I love how this reversible add-on has some weight so that it can’t be tipped over or moved easily by children but is light enough for a Mama like me to change the board over to whatever side. 

I bought this for my two and three year old. We have had four year olds play on it as well. I can see this pikler triangle being a part of our family for many years!
