Our Microschool is a passport to a travel experience. I have envisioned a wooden world map that was a piece of art for years and finally brought that goal to life! I am so impressed with Enjoy the Wood’s world map! If you are wanting to support a business in Ukraine during the current war I would highly recommend this company.
I am going to walk you through a few ways you can develop your child to have a global mindset!
1)Play-Based activities based in a country. For example: A multiplication game you can play: Create the countryside of Ireland and count sheep in the pastures.
2)Children book inspired play.
3)Activities, sports and yoga.
Discuss where the activity originated from or select a location you would like to practice a yoga pose.
4)Locate where a dish originated from in the world.
5)Celebrate global holidays and find them on the map.
6)Learn foreign languages.
7)Take imagination vacations.
Ex. Turn your living room into a dance ballroom in Spain and practice the Salsa.
What activities would you add? Where are your top three countries you would like to travel? For me…it’s really too hard to pick just three. Ireland would be a top because of my Irish roots. The other two, a country in Africa and the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. Your turn to share!
