“Carry me Mommy”- Baby Carriers

Brush on a desert hike. Like a baby carrier, the branch is helping the fuzz stay up.

Nanny tip of the day.

God hasn’t blessed me with a child yet, but the word on the motherstreet is that as a stay-at-home-mom of an infant they have trouble getting things accomplished around the home. Have no fear mothers, you don’t have to be barricaded in one room, wear a  baby carrier.

My nanny boss was wearing one on her back and the baby girl was just hanging out while she was cutting up veggies for dinner. The baby girl just wanted to be near her mom. Baby carriers are great, one minute your cutting veggies, the next, your helping your son on his school work.

These simple pieces of cloth (aka, baby carriers):

A) buy the mother time

B) mobility for the mother to accomplish tasks

C) give the infant attachment time

D) help an infant’s brain develop ( they have been used since the prehistoric times, why mess with an idea that works?)

My funny for the day:

Son: “Mom, I want my wife to have 800 babies in her tummy”

Mom: ” Hun, you probably want your wife to have one to two babies”

I love how innocently children think. Their thought process is one of the simplistic things I enjoy in life. What simple thing do you enjoy in life?

Discipline:

A child is at the beginning of a fit, what do you do? Hold their hands and with them, tell them to count to 3. Breathe with them; breathe in,hold….and then let the air out slowly. I read the idea somewhere and tried it on one of my nanny kids today. Surprisingly it worked. Thank God. Try it and let me know how it goes.
