Many people say there are not enough hours in the day. Well my response is they don’t know how to make the most of their time.
While doing cardio today at LA Fitness I was on the elliptical
working out
but also being personally enriched! I was listening to a sermon from Mark Driscoll on Selfish Lovers and Servant Lovers. You can listen at this link: http://marshill.com/media/real-marriage/selfish-lovers-and-servant-lovers
Or
Download the sermon free from ITunes!
One of my favorite points in this sermon: Mark Driscoll is talking about a college buddy of his that speaks out in a class. His buddy “said, ‘Now, I’m not going to kiss any woman until I kiss my wife when I say ‘I do’ on the altar.’
And then some frat guy raised his hand and joked and said, ‘Well, how do you know if she’s any good?’ And his answer, my buddy’s answer was, ‘How will I know if she’s bad?’ It’s like, ‘Yeah, good point.” “I have never had a piece of cake. This was my first piece of cake. Seems like a good cake.’ [Laughing] ‘It’s better than the cake I wasn’t eating.’ . . . ”
You could also listen to personal development podcast or an audio book. The point is you being further enriched as a person.
For audio books I would recommend The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen Covey.
Try it and let me know what you learn and how the experience went for you or please recommend a sermon/ podcast I should try listening to!
