Why ASU is the Ideal Historic Outdoor Wedding Venue

For ASU alumni the outdoor facilities are FREE. Since the ASU grounds are public property you can set up at anytime and there are no restrictions on time, but you have to provide your own security. You can rent an area for an entire day or multiple days. You won’t be charged if you use only one outlet and clean up afterwards. When you plan your wedding on ASU property you have the freedom to choose your vendors. (Ex. Chairs, sound). The only restriction is that there is no alcohol allowed except at the University Club.

“Ask photographer about best lighting before setting up the ceremony. That way all the arrangements can be made to look great in the pictures. Try to pick a time that will allow shade for guests. Make sure to have signs at both gate entrances, telling the public there is a wedding in progress. Planes may fly overhead, so try to have the officiant, bride and groom miked up.”
Brooke said:
“If you get married in the Secret Garden the sun is really harsh off the main white wall–mornings are a lot better and evenings after the sun goes down past the building level.”
