Salt River Engagement: Josh + Lauren

Their love story begins when Lauren sent Josh a “smile” on Christian Mingle. Josh replied with “(I) like to get to know you”. Lauren followed up with “Hey, I’m Lauren…”. This brief encounter led to more talking and long extended emails while they got to know each other. They had their first date Monday, April 8th at the Coffee Bean at Tempe Marketplace. Mondays then became their usual day to meet for awhile. In the early days of summer on May 26th they had the emphasis DTR, Determine the Relationship, conversation and became officially boyfriend and girlfriend.

On Josh and Lauren’s second date they talked for a long time; in Josh’s words “they hit it off”. Josh knew instantly after their second date she was the woman he was going to marry. Some time later, Lauren introduced Josh to her parents and that’s when she realized that Josh was the one; her parents “raved” about Josh.

After Josh and Lauren finished telling me all the details about their love story, Josh ended with wrapping it up with a pretty pink bow by saying, “It all started with a smile and now we’re here (talking about our wedding day)”. Josh looked over at Lauren and said, “to the most beautiful person ever.” I couldn’t agree more, I am thrilled and excited to be a part of your two love stories and am looking forward to your wedding in February.

We began their engagement session in a secluded field of clovers near Arizona’s Salt River stream.

If you put Josh next to Lauren the percentages are high he will make Lauren laugh. Anyone that comes into contact with them will feel the joy that surrounds them and it’s contagious.

They walk this adventurous life as a team, hand-in-hand: wedding planning, working out at the gym, remodeling their new home, volunteering with their church and starting their careers.

I love Arizona’s Salt River for engagement photos, it makes for romantic natural photos that show a couple’s true love.
