Their love and relationship reflect God; their Arizonian wedding was a testament to their love’s foundation and it all started with math.
They both attended the young adults group at Redemption Gateway Church. Curt asked Megan if she wanted a tutor for math with the intention of wanting to know her better. Curt realized Megan’s feelings for him the evening they were playing a game of Guess Who Wrote at a friend’s house. The question was, “Who’s face would you want on your wall?” Megan boldly answered, “Curt”. Their first date included watching the movie “Jack the Giant Slayer” followed with an American country dinner at Texas Roadhouse. This one date led to a series of many dates for one year.
An Arizonian Steamboat Proposal
Curt wanted to give Megan the ultimate proposal that would wu her heart, so he dropped questions months prior to asking her. He asked questions like: Where would you want it? Would you want people there? What’s your ideal proposal?
With Megan’s answers Curt carefully crafted her ideal proposal for March 7, 2014 .
He invited Megan and her family on the Dolly Steamboat on Arizona’s Canyon Lake. The cruise included fine dining, a scenic view and romantic music. The cruise captain was in on the proposal. When the steamboat reach the best point of the cruise the captain turned on Curt and Megan’s song. When the song came on Megan was surprised and looked over and saw that Curt was on one knee. Even though Curt asked questions prior Megan had a surprise reaction. Their Arizonian steamboat proposal was the perfect romantic surprise for Megan.

The couple in addition to speeches, opted for an open mic time. Curt is an identical twin; one of the guest’s joked that they can now tell them apart because one now wears a ring. A mentor of Megan’s recounts the evening she saw Curt at a church’s game night. When Megan saw this handsome fellow her eyes lit up. That evening the women were talking about heart issues and her leader commented Megan had a twinkle in her eye.
The evening Curt asked Megan out, a friend recalls Megan’s retelling the event. Her friend said Megan looked like she was floating on air and continued repeating, “He’s so cute!” Curt and Megan represented their first date at the Texas Roadhouse with filling a glass boot with peanuts.
