On a busy evening in downtown Tempe on Mill Ave two strangers met at a bar called Roby Fox before Arizona State University (ASU) started in session. Faviola’s friend persuaded her to go out that evening. Her friend was known for getting lost and it was when the two of them were looking for the dance floor that Ronan and Faviola met. Earlier that night Faviola had met a rude Scottish man so her walls were up. For whatever reason Faviola had a conversation with Ronan. She learned he worked for Intel, that he was from Ireland and that they both shared faith of Catholicism. When Faviola was leaving her friend popped in and told her to give him her phone number.
Shortly after their first meeting the two met for coffee at Starbucks on Mill Ave. It was when Ronan walked through the door that Faviola thought, “He’s pretty cute!” Their first date followed with a second, at an Arizona Diamondbacks game. Faviola recalled being nervous at the game because Ronan bought good seats and the people in the seats in front of them got hit by a ball.
Later on in their second date Ronan and Faviola hiked “A” Mountain. It was on their hike that Faviola learned she was captivated with Ronan’s Irish accent.
Ronan hit their initial dates into the ballpark! For a whole year they had mini-lunch dates together. In May of 2013 Ronan was reported back to Ireland for his work with Intel. Ronan and Faviola continued their dating relationship from across seas by flying out to see one-another through the course of the years.
Ronan and Faviola’s timeless romance are getting married in January at ASU’s Newman Center and they will celebrate their marriage at the Tempe Center for the Arts.
The two share sarcastic humor and laid back spirits that is immediately felt when I spent the afternoon with them exploring downtown Phoenix. I have no doubt their wedding will be rich with culture and will be anything short of incredible! Their engagement session started in the heart of downtown Phoenix at the Historical Heritage Square on a bright Arizona Autumn day.
Their chemistry is stirring and I look forward to documenting their first day as husband and wife in a few months!
Freckles, rolled up sleeves and brick are the perfect Autumn scene.
Pink blouse and polka-dots…the best combination ever. Faviola, you’re stunning.
Ronan loves Faviola’s caring heart and witty humor.
As a team the two enjoy adventures and sharing new experiences. While Faviola visited Ronan overseas the two enjoyed traveling the Southwest of Ireland.
When I first met Faviola I instantly connected with her appreciation of the Irish culture. More than anything, I’m thankful for the opportunity to work with them and share their love of Irish heritage!
After visiting the historical buildings and the Arizona Science Museum they did a wardrobe change and spent sometime secluded in their private Arizona jungle.
Many thanks to Ulta Salon for doing such a gorgeous job with Faviola’s hair and makeup.
The jungle area at Heritage Square is my favorite location in Phoenix… lush and intimate.
One the best things about Ronan is his sarcastic humor, no one can make Faviola laugh so quickly.
Congrats Ronan and Faviola to your upcoming wedding at the All Saints Catholic Newman Center! I pray God is safeguarding and preparing you two for a sacred marriage.
I will end with these photos… miles of Phoenix history and two souls committing to loving one-another.
