I had the honor of documenting Nick and Natasha’s two year anniversary relationship for their family legacy at Baker Beach, San Francisco. Natasha is the sweetest and surprised Nick when they deboarded the plane with the gift of a photography session for their two years of marriage to be preserved and remembered.
This is Natasha’s recountment of how Nick proposed to her: “We had attended his cousin Rebecca’s wedding at Troon Noon Golf Club. It was a great time, and afterward Nick told me that we were going to meet up with some friends at the Arizona Biltmore. I took a little cat nap along the way, but was peeking to find out what was going on. When we got there, Nick was acting very strange and fidgety. We walked out to the courtyard and Nick began telling me a story about coming to the Biltmore previously, when he was in college. He tied everything in so perfectly, and was very heartfelt, as he always is. I said yes!! (After initially responding that he was ‘crazy’!)”
Two years ago on October 19th, 2013, Nick and Natasha became husband and wife in Phoenix, Arizona. To remember and treasure their early years of marriage the two spent the afternoon strolling the Presidio of San Francisco.
The cool thing about shooting anniversary photos at the Presidio of San Francisco is that there are just beautiful pockets of light and prettiness within the towering trees. Nick and Natasha just happened to make this place even more delightful!
It was a perfect California day for anniversary photos! California light…you are a dream!
After we walked around the Eucalyptus trees we did an outfit change and headed to Baker Beach for more fun by the ocean.
Within a football stadium radius, there was a ton of spaces to photograph, that’s what I love about the beach.
Natasha is crazy in love with Nick: “He is a great man and a strong brave soul. Funny, intelligent, providing and honest. I am very proud to call him my husband. I look at him and marvel at his perfect skin and tousled hair. I think he really has no idea how crazy I am about him.”
Exciting new chapters are opening for this married couple, Nick and Natasha recently bought a condo!
Natasha you look divine!
Anytime rolled up jeans and beaches are concern it means it’s a perfect restful afternoon.
I love when God blesses us with some pretty light…
That afternoon chivalry and romance was alive on Baker Beach.
I asked Natasha what God has taught her after two years of marriage and this is what she said…
“Things can be really tough, but you just have to love each other through all of it. We are not there to witness the wrongs and hold onto them like poison. We are there to help each other, encourage one another. Life is difficult, and we are unable to live it successfully as a married couple without our spouse’s help. That and mercy. We need to be merciful with one another.”
I will end on some wisdom Natasha had for other couples on having a healthy marriage.
“Forgiveness. Don’t sweat the small stuff. Laugh together. Also have time apart. Cook together. FAMILY.”
Congrats Nick and Natasha to two years of marriage!
