Trinity Christian Church Wedding: Michael + Kelsey

Michael had commented to his beloved his thoughts on proposals, “It doesn’t need to be a gigantic moment because we have our whole lives with that special person.” With Michael being nervous and with this in mind he spontaneously asked Kelsey to be his wife. Here’s Kelsey’s mom’s account on how Michael proposed:

“Kelsey and Michael have become best friends who love doing everything together. Since they were often limited by distance, time and money, they learned to enjoy simple pleasures together. Their favorite activities are cooking pizza, playing video games, and hiking. Their most memorable hike was when Michael proposed! Kelsey thought it was a typical hike to the backside of Usery Mountain, so she was chatting away, until she noticed that all of a sudden Michael was down on one knee. After he said beautiful things and asked her to marry him, he picked her a wildflower, and they continued hiking.”

A sweet couple to the core, Michael and Kelsey’s love for one-another was a breathtaking experience to witness of their wedding day, January 1, 2016. The two in front of God and their closest loved ones vowed to 1 Corinthians 13 at their church, Trinity Christian in Mesa, Arizona. Later the couple celebrated their new union at an artisan mix restaurant in Phoenix,  Taco Guild.

All of Kelsey’s details looked like items for a royal wedding.

Michael and Kelsey’s wedding was centered and pointed all glory to God. Kelsey and her mom did a fabulous job crafting this DIY handmade crown ornaments for the guests’ favors with the following inscription on them: “Psalm 65:11 You crown the year with your bounty; your paths drip with abundance.” Their wedding day had an abundance of love.

While Kelsey was in the other room getting ready, her flower girls were dancing in the families’ library room.

Nina wedding shoes from New York and a long cathedral veil are a must for a royal wedding.  

Kelsey started her wedding day slipping into a vintage classic wedding dress from a splendid Fashion by Robert Black design.

The bride’s something borrowed was a tiara from her sister that she bought in Austria.

Stephanie Neiheisel you did a superb job on her make-up! Kelsey looked like a bride from the pages of Vogue. 

For her veil she wore a custom made English net with gold trimmings; Kelsey is a trendy bride.

Flowers Forever did stunning work on Kelsey’s wedding English styled bouquet.

The groom, Michael wore custom made lemonade bottle caps for his cufflinks, also a representation of Michael’s favorite drink! Michael gifted his groomsmen a thoughtful box of goodies: socks with the wedding date embroidered, custom cufflinks, suit, tie, and best of all….a manly scented candle.

They had their intimate ceremony in Trinity Christian School’s chapel. This chapel held a lot of significance to the bride; Kelsey had dream she would be married there one day and that day had finally come.

The groom waited for his beloved in the church’s garden… 

…and this was his long awaited reaction to see his beloved.

Together, the two started their wedding day in prayer.

Michael loved the way his bride looked.

Michael looked very handsome and happy to see his bride in his Black by Vera Wang suit.

Kelsey you look amazing!

The happy couple strolled Trinity Christian campus for wedding photos.

The best part of having couple portraits on a wedding day is living in each moment for what it is…love.

These old oak doors were one of the bride’s favorite details of her venue.

A bridal party never looked so glamorous at Trinity Christian.

Garden roses and the color champagne goes so well together.

A delicate gold leaf headband and Medieval European male shirt are the best details to showcase a royal wedding.

During bridesmaid portraits there was a lot of excitement and love.

Look at this incredible group of bridesmaids! J.Crew champagne, silk chiffon bridesmaid dresses make for an elegant Arizona wedding.

The chapel holds an European essence, with breathtaking tall stained glass windows and a long pewed aisle.  

Their first kiss marking them as husband and wife for eternity.

After a heartwarming Christian ceremony, Michael and Kelsey walked off into the sunset with sparklers lighting the way.

For Michael and Kelsey’s wedding reception they celebrated at the Taco Guild in Phoenix, a place full of a long history of art and southwest cuisine.

The wedding couple chose to have a Meyer Lemon Wedding Cake in reference to the Bride inheriting her new last name.

The newlyweds did a choreograph dance to “A Whole New World by Il Divo”…

…and danced well into the evening surrounded by love and support!

Happily ever after…congrats Michael and Kelsey for becoming one!
