University of Arizona Engagment: Ben + Jessica

You know those precious, “melt your heart” Hallmark Christmas movies that we all adore? Well this engagement story could easily be turned into a classic. He knew it was only a matter of time until he moved into the right direction with his dearly beloved, Jessica. High school sweethearts into college sweethearts. They were finally at a place of contentment with knowing they could be with each other for forever.  It was coming on to be their third anniversary together when he courageously approached Jessica’s dad and asked for his daughter’s hand in marriage. With her father’s blessing on Ben’s side, he wanted this engagement to full of light and full of joy. On December 23, 2015, a crisp Christmas evening called for some fun Christmas activities. An overflowing cup of rich hot cocoa with A Christmas Story on the television. The only thing left to do was take a night stroll to see all the Christmas lights. While they were waiting for the neighbor’s light show to begin, a string of lights came on, and they were just for Ben and Jessica. “Will you marry me?”

She knew without a hesitation what her answer was. “Yes!” she exclaimed. Shocked, overwhelmed with excitement, and smiles from ear to ear were just a few of the emotions going on. Ben’s parents came out to make it truly a family affair during the most wonderful time of the year. This season will now be a season they will never forget, and has left an imprint on their hearts forever.

As a sweet testimony to their soon to be Alma Mater, the University of Arizona, Ben and Jessica took over part of the campus for their engagement session. They will be getting married this upcoming summer! We are so thankful for awesome couples who brace unknown weather conditions for unique and one of a kind engagement moments like these.

They are adorably in love.

We took a stroll through the University of Arizona’s campus, making some fun stops along the way.

That royal blue color on Jessica is amazing. It sure brought out the best of her.

The remarkable Arizona olive trees are in full bloom while the love between Ben and Jessica is flourishing.

Their eyes are locked in with such intentionality to fully give themselves to the other with selflessness and humility.

Timeless nude colored strapped shoes were simply classic and just enough.

Romantic walks together as a couple are so good for relationships. This is a way to put a pause on life and spend quality time to connect on a heart to heart level while enjoying the outdoor beauty with the one we love most.

If you ever get the chance to dance with your love, take it. Laughter will come spilling out and your hearts will be lifted. 

They have such a relentless and resilient love. It was apparent throughout our day together. You would never know about the poor weather conditions because they chose to stay in the moment and embrace all of it. And because of that, they truly have “one of a kind” engagement portraits.

Spring time is coming soon which means for Ben and Jessica, graduation is right around the corner. Such exciting times ahead for this endearing couple!

There will be a new Mrs. in the classroom!

They are just so cute and madly in love. It was a delight to witness them get through unknown circumstances together with unwavering joy and light heartedness.
