If you just got engaged you get two things from people: congratulations and questions like when and where. It can feel overwhelming trying to figure out where to start on planning your wedding day but here are 4 questions to ask yourself when trying to pick your wedding venue.
Questions to ask to have a simple stress free plan of your wedding venue:
1) How many guest will you have?
In the early planning days you won’t know the exact number, but have a rough idea on how many people you want to host. You can usually find the venue’s facility size online.
2) What time of day and season will the wedding be held?
Ask the wedding venue for pictures of a wedding held during that season. Ask the wedding venue if they have backup space if it rains. Visit the venue at the time of day your wedding will be held. Visiting will help you get a different view (see how the lighting fills a room and allow for your wedding planner to get a better vision for the space).
3) Do you want a full service or a space service only venue?
A full service venue includes: space, furniture and food. A not full service venue includes the space only, and you have the freedom to decide which vendors you want that match your budget.
4) What kind of wedding style do you want?
If your wanting a simple modern wedding than a museum would be a better fit than a barn. Ask if there will be any changes to the wedding venue before your wedding date.
