Chinese BBQ in Tianjin, China

A billowing sphere of charcoal smoke circulating out of a fan onto the public streets of China swiftly grabbed my husband’s nostrils hairs. (Editors note: Yes it does.) The whiff sent a message to his brain that his food intake needed to be at this restaurant, which in this post will be declared nameless because I can’t read Mandarin yet.

Looking at the whole picture.

I sadly didn’t partake in the BBQ because I am suffering from a weak stomach. Wo de wei bu shu fu = My stomach is not comfortable.

Fun chef’s hat!

The meat’s at the restaurant were stored in these rolling refrigerators like what you see at a 7 Eleven. I’m not sure if they were actually turned on though. That’s a little fishy.

That’s the fan that drew my husband to this restaurant. Great marketing!

Yes, my husband’s BBQ needs that extra flavor from a hair dryer.

College men enjoying a night out! They were fun to watch with the language barrier. We had no idea what they were laughing about.

This man insisted I take his picture. No big deal, him not wearing a shirt in an outdoor restaurant. Actually this is quite common on the streets of China, especially after a meal. I will have to take more pictures of this cultural norm further on in our travels.
