Towering saguaro cacti, wild desert grass, giant cottonwood and willow trees along Arizona’s Cave Creek encompassed showing this couple’s love story and friendship.
Years before she knew him she went to high school with his’s cousin. Kyle and Elizabeth met each other through Arizona State University’s (ASU’s) Christian Challenge. They quickly got to know each other though the Christian Challenge events. Their chemistry started when a girl told Elizabeth that Kyle said she was cute, thereafter, the two started a friendship. Kyle took his time to getting to know Elizabeth because he dated with intention. Elizabeth knew early on that Kyle was to be her husband because their interactions worked and their relationship “felt easy”. On Valentines day, 2014, Kyle and Elizabeth officially started dating.
When Kyle asked her he sweetly said, “I like you…..” and looked around nervously.
With excitement and joy Elizabeth said, “Say it….!!!!”
“Will you be my girlfriend?”
The rest is history, Kyle and Elizabeth are announced to wed in November at The Elegant Barn!!!
Kyle and Elizabeth are an adventurous couple so they wanted to express that in their Arizona engagement session at Spur Cross Ranch Conservation Area. The two enjoy traveling to new places within Arizona on day trips. We got up early and caught Arizona’s morning light sun-kisses. Elizabeth you are seriously beautiful!
In this dating season of Kyle and Elizabeth’s relationship the two enjoy starting new things and taking chances with their full heart in it. Elizabeth commented that she wanted to remember, “…how open (they) are to being (them)selves and that it’s okay to be a weird person around each other.” The moment the two of them strolling the bluffs of Spur Cross Ranch Conservation captures the essence of their realness.
Their spirit during the engagement session was full of love and joy while the Arizona clouds sprinkled on them.
When I asked Kyle what he loves about Elizabeth he said, “I love her willingness to love me even on the hardest of days. I love that she holds me to a higher standard than I would hold myself. Her smile, her weird looks she gives me and her ability to bring out the best in me. I love that she brings her areas of strength to areas that I lack in and allows me to do the same for her. I love that she is my perfect match and inspires me to be the best I can for her.”
There is so much diversity of Arizona’s vegetation, Elizabeth strolled in this tall desert grass and it looked so heavenly.
Kyle describes their perfect day off: It “…would most likely be sight seeing, whether it be road trip or flight. Taking fun pictures, eating at new places and seeing random shops. Seeing the world piece by piece and eventually ending the night by the fire with my arm around her leaning her head on my shoulder, talking about our past stories and future plans and dreams with each other.” It is moments like this that come and go so quickly and that’s the beauty of a photo, a moment encapsulated forever.
Kyle is a worship leader for College View Baptist Church. Spur Cross Ranch Conservation offers an oasis in the Arizona desert; their love seemed to stand still in this sanctuary. As you can see Elizabeth enjoys watching Kyle play his music.
Elizabeth loves Kyle’s heart for Jesus and for people. She said, “It’s actually inspiring how quickly he finds the best in every single person, and how he has such a desire to make people happy… usually by goofing off and making people laugh.”
Kyle always tells Elizabeth that her eyes look like sunflowers, which was the perfect element to compliment Elizabeth’s engagement ring. The two enjoyed a quite moment in solitude while strolling Cave Creek. Elizabeth said she hopes to remember, “…. to never take advantage of the fact that not only will (they) not need to drive almost an hour to see each other, but (they’ll) get to see each other every morning ….!
Working with Kyle and Elizabeth was a morning full of fun, goofiness and adventure. We later strolled to Frontier Town, a country tourist town that Elizabeth would visit with her family as a young girl.
I will end on this everlasting note, their love for Jesus is beautiful! I look forward to documenting your wedding soon!
